Why Cubase?
In many ways, Steinberg’s Cubase is the grand-daddy (or-mammy) of all Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and it’s hard to believe that the first iterations of this pioneering software were developed in the techno-prehistory days of 1989.
Each new version brings improvements and new features and Cubase 9.5 is no exception. As usual, the program comes in several flavors that meet various requirements and price-points.
So what are the highlights we are talking about here ?!
- Everything is easy. Cubase offers an easy-to-use interface that can be used for quick and simple sound editing. For example, in Cubase, users can compare edits or adjustments with an A/B comparison mode. This allows musicians and business owners to play with different aspects of an audio project and compare quickly. It also features adapt-to-zoom, so when you need to zero in on an area of an audio project, the scale and interface adjusts accordingly.
- Sounds Within. Cubase comes with eight software instruments and over 2,600 different sounds. It syncs with all major file types like WAV and MIDI so you can add sounds you find online. Sounds and tracks are organized in Cubase’s media bay, which allows you to easily access content while you’re working.Plug-ins and effects. There are over 70 plug-ins and effects included in Cubase’s Artist edition. It also supports integration with VST plugin formats.
- The DAW got your back, Cubase provides an online forum with technical support help, a knowledge base of frequently asked questions, YouTube tutorials email and phone support. Users can live chat with experts on the Cubase website, although we didn’t receive a response when we tried this. Steinberg also offers courses in Cubase, so if you’re having trouble and need help beyond what is provided on YouTube and in the forum, you have an option to learn the software as well. Support is available from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
We  can say it’s the most amazing platform that comes with very good instruments and effects, but most importantly, gives you versatility and options whether you’re a recording artist, midi composer or a composer using notation as your main tool.
